Juan Genovés (Valencia, 1930 - Madrid, 2020)
Biography: Juan Genovés is one of the leaders of the critical-social realism of the 50s and has evolved toward existentialism. He has participated in numerous biennials such as the II Bienal Hispanoamericana in Havana, III Bienal Hispanoamericana in Barcelona, La Biennale Paris, and the World Fair in New York, among others. A major retrospective of his work was held at the Institut Valencià d'Art Modern (Valencian Institute of Modern Art) in 1994.
