Antoni Tàpies

BIOGRAPHY

Tàpies is considered, perhaps, to be the best known Spanish painter to have emerged in the period following the Second World War. His ideas have had an international influence on art, especially in the fields of painting, sculpture, lithography, and engraving. Tàpies won the National Engraving and Graphic Art Prize in 2002 for his work in graphic art developed in 2001.
